This work was released at the winter screening of ViCC, the University of Tsukuba’s filmmaking club, held at the end of January 2017.

The theme of this work is “peeking into private life.”

When we meet people, we unconsciously create a character for them. On the other hand, it is also true that in our own homes, with our families and those close to us, we show sides of ourselves that we never show outside. I felt that when we happen to see those hidden sides, an indescribable sense of discomfort and realness mix together. I made this work so that viewers feel as if they have peeked into everything happening in someone’s home.

The film was shot with several hidden cameras installed in a room of an apartment, all recording at the same time. In other words, a single performance could be captured from many different angles.

During filming, the two performers were left alone in the room and lived a simulated daily life while being filmed, which brought out an even stronger sense of private life.

The two quarrel over something trivial, make up for reasons no one quite understands, and it all ends with a night together. The story is extremely simple, the kind of scenario found everywhere in daily life, yet the element of peeking into private life alone makes it feel intimate and raw.

この作品は2017年1月末に開催された、筑波大学映画制作サークルViCC-映画をつくる会-の冬季上映会にて公開された作品です。

この作品のテーマは「私生活を覗く」です。

我々は人と会う時、無意識ながらも人に対してキャラクタを作っています。対して、自分の家、自分の家族、それに近しい存在の前では、外では見せない姿があるのも確かです。そんな人には見せない部分を見てしまったときに、なんとも言えない違和感、リアル感が混在していると私は思いました。この作品では、視聴者が誰かの家の一部始終を覗いちゃった！と思わせるような作品に仕上げました。

この作品は撮影に複数の隠しカメラを使用し、アパート一室中にカメラを設置、同時に撮影しました。つまり、一つの演技をするだけで、様々な角度の画をとることができるのです。

さらには、撮影の際には一室に演者二人を残し、擬似生活をさせながら撮影することで、より私生活感を表現しました。

些細なことで二人は喧嘩し、よくわからない理由で仲直りし、夜の営みで完結するという、流れはごく単純、日常に溢れているシナリオだが、私生活を覗くという要素だけでとても親近感、生々しいものになる。
